This is our MONTH LONG yoga challenge! Each week will be focusing on a specific topic. With meditation on the weekends. You know we HAD to make up a fun hashtag so we can see your beautiful yogi selves! This time, the hashtag is #YOGAalltheWAY !!!! Get ready, Christmas is on it’s way!
This week our yoga will be focusing on aiding in digestion, which is perfect after Thanksgiving.
Today’s pose is…
Bend knees and step feet about leg width apart, placing your right foot at 90 degrees and left foot is slightly turned in. (Heel to arch alignment) Inhale to extend arms out the side reaching your right hand over right leg. Bring your right hand down to the floor. Make sure your left shoulder is stacked on top of right. Lift arm straight up and look up. Hold for 5-7 breaths. Repeat on opposite side.
This pose opens up the obliques , and the twisting motion tones and energies the abdominal organs, especially the liver and the intestinal tract.
