What is #gobblenowobble? Gobble no wobble is a fun little mantra about staying healthy this holiday season! This includes centering ourselves and our minds so that way we can be fully present, calm and simply awesome! Gobble with happiness not wobbling because of too much pie! 😉
We will be posting a pose a day this week from the 24th through the 28th. This is great for all levels, including BEGINNER!! Yes, we encourage you to give it a try! Take a lovely photo of yourself rocking it and hashtag #gobbleNOwobble and #2mermaids on instagram and twitter, it will make our holiday the best! Then on the 29th and 30th (you can choose which day) we will practice some meditation. You can choose to do it on your own, or we will suggest an awesome podcast to follow along with to ease you into meditation.
and your 3rd yoga pose is…
Downward -Facing Dog also known as “Adho Mukha Svanasana”
This pose can be difficult at first. You can make it easier by increasing the distance between your feet. If this pose is feeling really good to you, try walking out your feet to really give your calf muscles a fantastic stretch.
Start with feet hip distance apart, bend at the waist and press palms into the ground, hips toward the sky. Your hands should also be shoulder width apart. Arms, shoulders and back should all be in a straight line. Hands should be at the front of your mat, and toes should face forward near the back of your mat. At any time, feel free to rest to the previous pose, Child’s Pose and then return to downward dog. Flow into your poses with what feels good to your body. Explore the positions and create space, if you feel an enjoyable stretch, hold the position, inhale deeply and exhale.
Modify- You may bend at the knees and move some of your body’s weight into your legs.
