Can you believe it’s already September, mermaids? I certainly can’t. But I’m excited.
I’m currently on an incredible business trip to Boston – I’m here for the Inbound Marketing Conference. But I snuck in a few days early so I could enjoy the city. I spent all day yesterday walking around (over 7 miles!) Boston learning about the Revolutionary War History and I even found time to meet up with some dear friends and chase a few ghosts! Today (and the next few days) will be all about marketing. But it won’t be all work and no play. Keynote speakers include Aziz Ansari and Amy Schumer so there’s that. I might write a follow up post with more about that.
After Boston, I’m home for exactly two days before I head to Reno for the Reno Air Races. A client of ours is flying this year and it’s their final year so I’m out here to support. Plus, they hold the world record for reaching a speed of 246.454 miles per hour – I want to see it in action! I’m also hoping to get some more clients while I’m out there so it’s also a mix of work and play.
Once home from Reno things calm down a bit until next month. I’m grateful for that because I’m missing home! Kelly and I will try to get in some much needed girl time after she gets back from her trip to Cali. We have a spa day purchased for us both (complete with sauna time) that I’m itching to use!
My focus this month has been building strategies so that’s my action item for you. If you have any networking events coming up (local or otherwise!) make a mini-strategy so that you make the most of your time. I have a strategy for both Boston and Reno and I even made postcards and special pricing offers for both events!
Until next time,
